'94 Jimmy Fuel Pump Testing

I think I have a bad fuel pump. I've already replaced the relay on the off chance that might solve my problem. No such luck.
I also know that it could be a problem with the oil pressure sending unit. How would I go about testing each and which should I test first?

Re: '94 Jimmy Fuel Pump Testing

Do you hear the pump prime when you turn the key to the position just before start?

Nope, nothing.
I've checked for pressure at the injector line and there was none.
I'm definitely not getting fuel.

Re: '94 Jimmy Fuel Pump Testing

Fuel pump has popped.

Might as well swap in a new sending unit while you are changing the pump as well.

Re: '94 Jimmy Fuel Pump Testing

You need to hook a pressure gauge to your oil sending unit... then see if your getting pressure on crank. If so, it works... But if your pump isn't even priming, testing the fuel sending unit is useless, because it will still prime even if the oil sending unit switch is bad.

What the hell is your problem, you said you are NOT getting the fuel pump priming when you turn the key on.

So what is your problem with me telling you to change the obvious thing that is shot which is the fuel pump.

And while you are at it, replace the sending unit at the same time seeing it is probably rotted out.

You ask for help, I tell you what the problem is, then you whine on like I did nothing fro you.

FOR SUCK FAKES, WHAT THE HELL DO YOU WANT US TO DO!!

Thanks Rlith. I appreciate your help.
I had it towed to a shop this morning and it turned out to be a faulty ignition switch.
Ya' think maybe Blazer might be needing a little more fiber in his diet or what?
