Question 88 prelude engine?

i want to get a nice 88 prelude and chuck sum white volk racing wheels on, give it a yellow paint job slam it down, give it ar nardi steering wheel, recaro seats, some lightning audio stuff, K&N filter and heaps more. the thing i was wondering about was if the 88 prelude was so old, it might not have the v-tec engine, does anybody know if it has

It does not have a vtec in it. Should be a 2.0S or 2.0Si. The S is Carbed and the Si is fuel injected. Even though its not a vtec the Si is still quick. It comes with a B20a5 motor that has limited aftermarket parts available. But more parts are becomming available for 88-91 Preludes. If you get it cheap enough it will be a good investment. I have an 88 Si that i got cheap and have done many mods. Motor swap, body kit, Tokico suspension kit and lots lots more.
