Apexi Power Intake for 95-98 Nissan 240SX or 91-95 Toyota MR2 Turbo (507-T007)

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...category=38634

I've always seen this A'PEXi air filter and ive always wondered if it can possibly be worth the $125+ it costs, for just the filter.

It Says,
The dual funnel Power Intake evolved from the highly successful Super Intake. Subtle refinements in the design and filter element resulted in a 10% reduction in pressure drop. Utilizing an upper and lower funnel, the Power Intake reduces air turbulence within the filter and creates smooth air flow into the throttle body. The Power Intake is a maintenance-free dry-type air filter and will alleviate the problem of filter oil from "wet" air cleaners interfering with the air-flow meter.

I mean yeah they make it sound good and i love A'PEXi as a brand, but i would feel stupid shelling out the cash for this i think...better to just go with normal K&N? And yes, i would get minor satisfaction of just the name on it. but still, $150?? Anybody have advice?

I don't think the gains would be all that great since it's the stock piping....

this is actually true.. good seller, bought my suspension from them. and i'd want to take a look inside this filter to see how it works.. it its turbine-shaped and you use aftermarket piping then to me it seems like it would flow air very efficiently

I Will

I WILL NEVER BUY FROM K&N! Thats the most ghetto gay brand ive ever heard of...if I bought a non-Injen filter it would be Apexis or that awesome one buy Blitz. I know my reasons may be stupid on why i hate K&N but....a filter that loses horsepower come on?

Even though I don't have much to base myself on, I'm with monooxide on this one.

i don't think thats a very good point, personally.. how many horses are you losing with a filter??
not significant enough for me..
