Question Need help

Hi all,
I have a 1996 sunfire coupe and am having trouble with its power windows. The passeneger side window has stopped working, when i puch the up button the window goes up about an inch and that is all. when i press the down button it doesnt move.

any dieas would be great,

Well, better it goes up and not down than the other way around.

It's probably either in the switch, or in the motor itself. You can remove the door skin fairly easily on Sunfires to see what's happening inside. Just remove the 4 phillips screws along the bottom and side of the door panel, and then two 9/32 screws right under the handle. There should be one screw holding that little plastic piece on the a-pillar area - pull that out too. After that it just takes a good tug to release it. You'll need a multimeter to test whether the motor is getting it's power, so that's where I'd start.
