Question Standard vs. Touring?

I am looking to get a G20. What is the difference between the base g20 and the touring edition, both in a stick? The touring editions are hard to find in the Bay Area, so unless there is a big difference between the two I am just going to go with the base.
Thanks,
Brandon

the difference.....G20t has better suspension(shocks, springs, torsion bars..etc), better interior(sporty leather seats, with nicer headrests), all options(i dont know exactly what they are, but mine feels fully loaded ), it offers the optional spoiler, and there is probably more that i may not know of......i dont know if the regular G20's have 4 wheel disc brakes, but i think the "t" is worth it.....thanks for reading

the "t" also has fog lights and MOST important... LSD tranny (limited slip differential). i would say that is the most important factor in choosing a g20t over a base g20.

good luck with the buy!

yep, the auto g20t's have the LSD too... its not just a racing benefit. you'll keep some more power and wont peel out all over the place in wet weather...

not sure about the cams being different between the base and touring models.. never heard of that...

also forgot to mention... the touring have 15" wheels opposed to the base 14"

RE:

The salesman told me today that the sport pkg and the lux had the same suspension??? So is he a moron or just a bad salesman? Anyway, he was nice enough and I got the car.. A 2002 midnight blue G w/ the sport package is waiting for me in a lot about 25 minutes away. I don't think I will sleep a wink tonight. I can't wait!!!

i'm pretty sure that mechanically (engine, suspension, etc.) the base and sport/touring are identical except for the lsd on the touring. Other than that the difference between the two are aesthetic changes and trim details.

The G20t is lower than the base car. So it would have to have different suspension ...like the springs.

Hmm... nope!

The "t" is .3" lower because it had different tires than the base G20.

I assume you are refering to a P11 with which I am completely unfamiliar with the differences of the two. But in the P10 there aren't that many differences. They vehicles were the same with the exception of the interior color (all black in the Touring vs brown and tan in the regular) This was up to a certain production date during the 1994 model year. Then the standard G20 got softer springs and lost the limited slip, but those were the only differences on the P10s. Also depending on the production date of the engine on the P10s it either had a 7500RPM redline or a 7250RPM redline. This had something to do with the intake manifold, but isn't related to the high port/low port issue.
