97 lhs won't start

'97 lhs - hit a chuck-hole and the car died, have replaced the crank senor, coil pack, cam sensor, removed the timing cover and timing is good, car wants to start, getting gas, spark last about 2 sec then no spark, pulling up a code 31 (?) don't know what that is - suggestions?

I have a 96 LHS that I need to run codes on and I'm not sure on the procedure.
I did find the code # 31 you are looking for: 31 Bad evaporator purge solenoid circuit or driver ) not sure what it means.

Re: 97 lhs won't start

if you can take the car to autozone.thay can put it on a scan tool for free. it will break the code down even futher.8 codes in code 31.if not most of the codes deal with vaccum leaks,loose wires on evap sys.one is for ground wire on fan relay circuit

Hi ;
Did you ever get the LHS running ? I felt that when you went over the chuck hole you disturbed the wiring to the computer and the signal from the cam-shaft positioner and /or the crank-shaft positioner was lost . This is why the you would only get one spark when turning the engine over . What was the diagnosis ?
Thanks Ken
