was thinking of buying the HKS exhaust system and a AEM intake system

any opinions?

its a pretty open question. generally in a bone stock civic motor the amount of hp gains in any intake, and exhaust system is so minimal that it really doesnt make much differnce. i would go with what you know and trust. aem intake is good but also expensive considering what you could get with taht. as for hks exhaust, again expensive and your gain is going to minimal if any over another brand of exhaust.

in my opinion, with previous experience with intake kits, u can make even the crappiest of intakes to put to good use....to me, just buying an already built intake kit is too little for your money.....spending 200 on 7 horse gain...doesnt seem right...i say, get a nice k&n typhoon or aem like u said and get it polished...its worth it in the end....i bought a 40 intake before with a K&n filter....it gave me some gain, but there were flat spots....i took a sand paper flap wheel..( much like that used in the port and polish kits) and polished it out myself....got rid of the flat spots and there was a noticable gain in throttle response....just a suggestion...ull figure out wats best...

id go with a weapon-r intake(dragon or secret weapon) and magnaflow exhaust

you could go for the aem v2 intake and the exhaust your best bet would probably the magnaflow your best bet.
