looking for some facts/info

Hey, im looking for some facts or information about the hyndai tiburon, coming from personal owners, or people who have test drivin the tiburon. I know the horsepower and tourque rate and everything like that, but im looking for personal experieces that would persuade me into looking at this car. It definately has looks, but from a preformance point of view... well...im hoping you can help me out from there thnx

Re: looking for some facts/info

well, since no one is responding tha owns one in particular, i'll let you know about someone who's driven one and who's dating someone who drives one...

the 01 is a comfortable ride with very few problems (a few hissing from the windows while driving, due to hoodlems braking her window and having to get it replaced)
It's definately got some kick to it speed wise, and the 2.0l engine has alot of room for modification. It's a great project car and it looks damn sexy if you ask me. I would like to see some more aftermarket for it, and some of the body kits really do give it more of a shark look.

I have an 03 that I bought new in Jan 04. There were issues with the ones made in late 02 and early 03. I have had no problems at all other than the ones I have caused myself. Short of engine internals, I have modded the daylights outa this car. It's my daily driver and 22K mi since I got it. 2 recalls; ECU flash & moving the rear brake lines. The stock HP is low, especially for a 3K lb car. I have up to 196HP and soon it will be around 220HP. I really like the ride & handling. It's been a long time since I had the "sports car feel". If you want to see what I've done, check out my page in my sig. For under 20 grand for a new car you can't do better.
my .02...

Re: looking for some facts/info

simple bolt ons make a hug difference with the tib...
the delta (v6 engine) can get between 24-30 whp on an intake and exhaust....
add headers... do som eweight reduction... etc etc youll have a very nice powered car....
