Re: 2004 lancer with evo engine

your friend will likely never get that swap done, especially because his car is an automatic which would make the swap incredibly hard.

i think your friend does'nt know how much money he's gonna be putting into this. like the other guy said he can't afford the insurance but can afford the engine and tranny from an evo??? don't sound right to me. better hope that he never gets into an accident , then he's really screwed and i think that your "friend" is really you just asking about putting an evo engine in a es,

evo engin

I am and insrance agent and I'm only 19 years old and the only insurance risk is that when he get into an accedent he his going to spend more money on fixing the engin, because insurance does not cover off market engins. so your friend will be paying insurance for a car he would not be able to drive. he needs to use his head and think twice about putting an evo in his es. pluse the blocks differ from eachother. so if your friend wants to spend 15-20g's and can do it? more power to him.

The best thing about the Evo is the AWD anyways. If you want the Evo's 270 HP just bolt on a turbo.

Why doesn't you friend go buy a 2g Eclipse? He can get one with AWD and strap on a big 16g turbo. Cheaper, almost as fast and a lot cheaper in ins.

your friend is looking at least $10,000 to swap the 4g63t into the lancer, thats not including changing it to awd.. so he spent what $10,000 for the lancer another say $15-$20,000 for the complete and correct swap if it even works for $35,000 same cost for a new evo

Re: 2004 lancer with evo engine

15-20 grand in to a dsm would be a fast car i don't think that he should do the swap like they said for the cost you might as well buy the evo strait up and worry about insurance after
