most cramped cockpit / dashboard hard to see over

ok,
what are your nominations for most annoyingly cramped cockpit of any japanese or american car (british and euro are too easy) and/or car that buries you so deep under the dashboard that you need to have short legs and a long torso to fit in the car and still see the road! : )

i nominate:

Hyundai Tiburon
Pontiac Fiero
Mazda MX-3
Nissan 200sx

Re: most cramped cockpit / dashboard hard to see over

I personally am unable to fit inside a honda civic. My knees are pressed against the dash, and the steering wheel presses against my legs if I try to fit inside them. I can drive a neon or a cavalier though. (But I wouldn't)

Nissan Silvia. The S13 being the worst. There is no space for anyone over 5'8, the seats are firm and uncomfortable and the ergonomics aren't as good as a Honda, Toyota or BMW.

What year civic? I'm 6'3" and have a 1990 hatch and I fit in it fine but I have to have the seat slid all the way back and the seat leaned back a little, but I have plenty of leg room and decent head room, and I have no problem getting in or out. The sedans might be more cramped though.

My stepdad has a 2001 Honda CRV and I can't stand driving it. the seat doesn't move back far enough so my legs are crammed in and the seating position is like driving a UPS truck (really high). It might be alright for shorter people but I hate it .

Also my mom as a 1994 full size Chevy conversion van (these things are huge), while the middle row and rear seat passengers have a mile to stretch their legs, the driver and front passenger have about an inch. The engine hump cuts into the legroom the most but it is also very shallow. and the gas and brake pedals are really close together and the gas is really close to the engine hump so if you have boots or wide shoes on, you will end up stepping on the gas and brake pedals at the same time if you're not careful

I hear you on that one. My friend owns one and you can't really move the seat so you're pressed up against it.

The Honda Pilot.

I hate sitting in that car, anywhere.

I am at just the right height to have the not adjustable headrests hrt my neck. My Knees hit the dashboard. In the second row I am consantly fighting to stay upright in the turns because the seats are flat as hell. And the third row is too small for me to sit there longer than 20 minutes.

I think I heard that Rick said that he's 6'8 somewhere else on AF

Re: most cramped cockpit / dashboard hard to see over

My Formula 350...my eyes are about level with the dash, I see no hood and the road about 10 ft in front of me. Makes me feel unsafe, and yet you'll still find me doing 180's on the street and 360's in the parking lot.

Well close...5 teens, it was comfortable though, sure I was between two girls, but that has nothing to do with it.
