92 explorer not charging/replaced alternator

92 explorer rebuilt alternator / check output ok however it is not charging replaced wiring plug still not charging correctly

Did you charge the battery fully before you put on the alternator. Should have taken 3 or 4 hours probally.How old is the battery? Have it load tested if it doesn't charge up. It doesn't matter how old it is, that could be your problem. good Luck

Were you able to diagnose the problem?

I'm experiencing similiar issues with my 2001 XLT. My battery gauge still reads low even though my alternator, battery and coil have been tested and or replaced.

I ok i just went through this with my 92 explorer ,, open your hood, find your power distrabution box on the pass. side i think. open it, see all the big fuses? well on top there`s two blue #15`s check them one is alt.charge ,,, that should be it. replace it , check your batt. gauge now!!
