97 Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder convertible leaking during rain
Hi all,
I realised there was no forum for convretibles, so positing my concern here. As the subject says, My Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder convertible top leaks and lets water in when it rains. The leak is usually on both the sides where the window meets the top(I need to mention that I close the window tightly). My guess is that the water is leaking thru the stiches on the canvas top. I was just wondering if anyone else on this forum who has a convertible used any kind of gel/paste/leakproof liquid that I can apply on the stiches so the water doesn't get in.. Any replies/suggestions greatly appreciated.. Thanks -Uday |

Before taking the risk of messing something up, you might want to verify the source of the leak by dusting the inside top with some chalk dust or flour. When it gets wet (probably after you hose it down if you can), the source of the leak should be evident.
