Re: Firebird Wagon

They didn't stop there. They made a Third Gen GTA concept wagon too.

That looks horrible. Why would they do such a thing.

What you see in the picture is an aftermarket or self made Firebird Wagon.
This is not an official Pontiac vehicle. Pontiac build 2 of those cars themselves as concept cars because of the Wagon craze they thought there would be a market for this type of car, but later scrapped the idea. The car was called the Type K, K standing for Kamm a german engineer. The cars that Pontiac build where both silver in color, one was destroyed the other is to be found in the Pontiac museum. the first had a front of the 77-78 installed and was later switched to a 79-81 front to stay with the current line. Lindberg made plastic models of the car in 1/24 scale. The reason that this picture is not a Pontiac factory made version is the roof line. You can see that the door glass/body is shaped like the regular car, while the real k wagons had a straight line so it would match the rear glass.

Re: Firebird Wagon

Dear god, that had to have been the most disturbing thing I think I've ever seen in my life, well that is next to a Camaro that I had happened to find on a google image search one day that was turned into an "El Camaro"...It makes me want to throw up everything I've consumed in the past 5 years.

Re: Firebird Wagon

Oh yeah its real sombody made it and sombody is driving it too.The only word that comes to mind is sad.
That picture came out of a book at the library.Supposedly pontiac did make a few and they called some pretty ugly shit trans am too.I cant remember the name of the book but some guy from motor trend pontiac and some production company had come up with a book tributing the firebird.

According to the book They would have produced somthing like that if the cost of production wouldnt have been so high.

There is a wagon kit for 1993-2003 firebirds too. It's sick... it's in Hot Rod or something.... in the ads pages........ I've had nightmares ever since I saw it

Doing that to a firebird has to be one of the 7 deadly sins or something.

Ain't that the truth, it's really pretty bad. I mean if they want points for creativity, they lost them all in ruining a perfectly good car.
