Crappy Y-pipe noise

Ok guys, over the summer I bought an aftermarket y-pipe for my car, and I LOVE the performance gains, and for the MOST PART, the sound...but from about 2700 rpm up, I can hear a faint rattling noise coming from the y-pipe(not the rattling associated with it not being bolted on tightly enough)...anyways it sounds pretty ghetto and I was wondering if there was anything I can do to make the tinny-sounding rattling noise(how's that for a description?) go away?

Re: Crappy Y-pipe noise

it's the flex section of the pipe. it rattle as air passes by it. not much you can do other than heat/thermal wrap that section. my y pipe on my 95 did it too

Maxima 2000 GLE Diagnostic code P0430

My check engine light is on and the code is P0430 catalytic converter efficiency below threshold (bank 2). I heard somewhere that this maybe an onboard computer issue that may only require a program update for the computer in the car. Has anyone heard of this or know how to fix the problem. I really want to finally fix this. Please help!

It's a good thing I have leftover DEI thermal wrap then, lol...from your experience, will it get rid of the tinny rattling noise completely, or just make it sound less-ghetto?

Might be transient: take batt off for 5-30min to clear ECU. If it comes back, try to seek from NISSAN TSB

i don't think it can go away 100%, but it'll sound better. use good quality wrap cuz mine kept falling off. the buzzing noise didn't bother me half as much as the fitment issue i had, it kept knocking against the underbody of my car, drove me mad.
