Talking What to power my 2 8" kicker and focal speakers?

any suggestions on what ampilifers suited to powering my 2 8" kicker L7 Solobaric?
i'm planning on using 2 mono amp both kicker
and a 2 channel amp for my focal speakers.

Kicker KX600.1
$250 X 2
$500

Kicker KX120.2 - 2 Channel Amplifier
$ 150

or is there any alternatives?
i think this is a bit of a waste though...
but i was wondering if anyone could give me a 'well-known' product that's easy to find [because i live in a country where car audios weren't very popular] and have a good re-sell value [in case i am bored/wanted upgrades i could easily sold them].
thanks ppl.

Re: What to power my 2 8" kicker and focal speakers?

out of curiosity why would you get two 600.1s? your subs cant handle that much power.. i mean im sure you could just be easy on the gains.. but it seems like a waste of money.. i would look for a single mono that would get you about 900-1000 watts.. rather than two which would give you 600.. especially if youre sticking with mainstream amps liek kickers which are a little overpriced IMO.

Re: What to power my 2 8" kicker and focal speakers?

the reason on why i am using 2 X 600.1 amp is that i wanted the max possible amount of power from my sub [because it's 8" ]. any other input? or reccomendations for amplifiers? preferably mainstream products..

Re: What to power my 2 8" kicker and focal speakers?

It's rated for 1000rms@1ohm but is a little overrated. Will do more like 800 and that's good cuz I wouldn't run Kickers at full rms power. And there's no need to go blow tons of money on Kicker amps when the Hifonics will do the trick for cheaper.

Re: What to power my 2 8" kicker and focal speakers?

Well, if you WERE looking at spending near $650...you might as well get something better than hifonics at least.

What i'd look for:
Phoenix Gold Tantrum or Titanium line
Something like this for the speakers:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...753291927&rd=1
or
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...752192810&rd=1
Maybe this for the subs:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...753538137&rd=1
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...753410326&rd=1
or
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...753382567&rd=1

Personally, I would get the PG TI400.2 and the TI800.2 EXCELLENT amplifiers, work great for your situation!
