1995 Oldsmobile LSS

Car lights on dash light up but no engine turnover;no crank. For the last week the "Security" Light on dash comes on periodically. Do not know what this means since I have no manual. When the car has not started previously, I can wait for about 5-10 mins. and then it will start but now for the last 24 hrs. will not turn over at all. Battery is checked and is fine. Not related to temperature as this has happened after I have been driving for a while, stop to go into a store, come out and it won't start. Wait 5 mins. and it goes. Anyone else had this problem and any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks
WRF

If you have a second key,try it! This is a special key and a standard key will not work.

Re: 1995 Oldsmobile LSS

YEs I can tell you exactly what it is. Went through the same thing for months. It is the cam sensor and the crank sensor. They are about 25.00. IT can go on for months, etc. but finally will fail but, maybe in a few days, it will start up again. My check engine light never went on but when they put it on computer, the cam sensor came up. Be safe, change the crank sensor too.
