BCM programming?
My 1998 blazer needs a new bcm and and the dealer says there is programming involved with installation. Does anyone have any info to do this on your own ordoes it have to be done at a dealership?
Thanks |

You can do it yourself if you have a Tech 2 Scanner...They only run about 3000.00, otherwise you need the dealer.

Re: BCM programming?
You not only need the Tech2 scanner, you need the TIS Program (about another $3000 from GM) which has the programing for the vehicle.
If you don't have keyless entry, now's the time to do it. It's part of the programming. |

Re: BCM programming?
What you should do is grab the bcm or ecm from a wrecking yard... Then have it reflashed, it will save you a good bit of money.
