Help with changing ignitor
My 1988 Honda Civic would not start but lights worked. I replaced the main relay and that was not it and now I checked and I am getting no spark. Is this the ignitor? Is this a difficult task for someone like myself with not much car knowledge? Please any help here would be appreciated.

Re: Help with changing ignitor
ignitors are really easy to replace, takes about 5-10min. Take off your cap the ignitor i think has 4-5 wires going to it, its under the coil, disconnect the wires marking where they go. There is one bolt holding the ignitor in. They can be kinda pricey but it depends, one for my z6 cost $100

So within the day I have changed the main relay and with some help from a neighbor I learned it does not have a spark. He told me it was most likely the ignitor. What do you think ? |
