Notice of Class Action Filing

The law firm of Post Kirby Noonan & Sweat LLP has filed a class action lawsuit in Sacramento, California against General Motors Corporation, regarding defective engines. The complaint alleges that these engine defects involve excessive coolant leakage around the plastic-based intake manifold plenum, caused by deformation of the plastic-based material from ambient engine heat. The complaint further alleges that the defect produces, among other things, a precipitous drop in the coolant level, a milky white substance on the oil dipstick or oil fill cap, an unpleasant coolant odor during operation, and puddles of coolant below the vehicle when parked. The complaint also alleges that vehicle owners report that engine temperatures run unreasonably high with consequent damage to engine components, and occasionally the seizing of the engine, and that the leaking coolant also sometimes mixes with the motor oil, causing problems with combustion and performance. The vehicles involved include at least the 2000 through 2003 Buick Le Sabre, Park Avenue, and Regal; Chevrolet Impala, Monte Carlo, and Malibu; and Pontiac Bonneville and Grand Prix models.

We request that anyone who has experienced these or related problems with an engine in any of these vehicles contact us with details of your experiences, providing a name and contact telephone number, at [email protected]
