Help With Pulling Codes

I have been having problems with my car, so Today I pulled the codes on my car with the paper clip method. Im not sure if I am reading the codes right, but I think I am getting a code 12 which is suppose to be normal, but then I am getting a code 13, Does anyone know what that code is? any help is appreciated

Thanks

Just incase

If I did read the code right, and It is the O2 sensor, could that be whats causing my car to die out at redlights, and stall out sometimes? Im just curious cause thats the main reason I tried to get the codes becuase my car has been running a little wierd. It has not been idling right, and it stalls out when going slow or idling, but only sometimes and It starts right back up. Also it seems as if the engine will kind of jerk, like the engine is trying to die but doesnt, It usually only does that at high speeds though. Could the O2 sensors be causing all this, or is it likely to be other things to? Thanks

Also the car is a 1991 Lumina Eurosports 3.1L

Re: Help With Pulling Codes

Try cleaning your intake first. Your idle air control passage may be clogged with carbon, causing your car to stumble at idle. I would suggest one of two things: GM top engine cleaner (liquid)(part # 1050002- from the dealer only) or Seafoam (liquid) from your local parts retailer. Just find your favorite vacuum hose (a lot of people use the brake booster hose), and let the car suck up the liquid.

Once the can is empty, let the car stall (or just shut it off), and let the car sit two hours, then start it up and burn off the cleaner along with the carbon build-up. (beware, there will be threats from your neighbors because of all the white smoke you are going to fill your block with.)

That will clean MOST of your intake. For your throttle plate and your IAC intake hole, I would suggest intake cleaner (not carb cleaner), and a small wire bottle brush. (Oh yeah, change your oil when you're done, The top engine cleaner and seafoam, leave residue in your oil).

That's where I would start. Also, when was the last time a major tune-up was done?
