Funny Race...

I wasn't in this one, but it happened right infront of me while hanging out.

Was hanging with my buddy at Tommy's Burger, doing the usual BS. When we hear the sounds of squealing tires and cars revving out.

We look down the street, and about 100 yards away there are two Honda Civics with the usual wheels, exhaust and one I believe had a black hood might of been Carbon Fiber. Going at it in the wet conditions from the mass amounts of rain earlier.

This street is 3 lanes beginning, but closes off to 2 lanes. Out of nowhere in the right lane comes this Cadillac STS, like a 98ish. Comes haulin down the right lane, which merges into the 2 remaining lanes.

The two Civics are racing, and I guess this Caddy wanted to play and he just whooped them both.

Passed them, merged and kept going up the hill. The Civics kinda let off... then continued to race.

Funny shit... we couldn't see the Caddy at first due to some bushes blocking the view of the right lane far away... but he straight swooped on them.

Re: Funny Race...

Man, why suckas like you alwayz be hatin on da Civz? Man go take a swizzle of some Hatorade an' den pass da hell out

That is sadly what happened to me the other day. This dude in an STS kept flooring at every stop light. So I was like "Oh yeah?". Lined it up, got smoked an was like, "oh ....yeah...." then I slowed down and acted like I wasn't racing him, but the damage had already been done. L8...

Re: Funny Race...

Lol Civic racers always get hassled. That's just because about 90% of the people with them are just posers with no mods on them. They've totally ruined the image of a good car.

I can remember a few times when I had to put the typical high school kids in their place when they acted all hard with their "hardcore" Civic DX's. A big aluminum wing and a carbon fiber hood don't make that much of a difference, peeps.

I gotta respect anyone with a modded Civic, though. They can be very fast, and they have beaten me before like it was a walk in the park. Even if it sounds like an angry bumblebee, it's still a repectable car if done up right.

Nice coverage of the race, Redneck. It's always good to hear about morons getting knocked down a peg by the real deal.

That's my 2 cents.

Re: Funny Race...

Where we hang out there are lots of races that take place...

It's not organized racing, it's just people who happen to line up. But it happens often enough to hear them going screaming by.

Lots of fairly fast cars cruise past us. Maybe one of these nights I'll lay in wait with the Z for some unsuspecting person.

Several cool cars have come through that I've let go cause I just didn't feel like chasing after them. Like a new EV0 MR and a 03 SVT Cobra. I refuse to race on a cold motor, so it'd be hard to convince them to not take off on me before I was warmed up to play.

Re: Funny Race...

Yeah, I lose alot of good races because my motor isn't warm yet.

BTW: By lose I mean don't get to race. not that I race them and lose the race.

Has your Dad considered a CTS-V?? Same platform as the STS, nearly the same price, BUT it has the LS6, 400 hp, 395 lbs-tq.

Funny story Red. That would be pretty cool to see two cars going hard at it get smoked by a 3rd car that's basically just passing by!
