Ebay ECM For CAI?

I bought this ECM for my CAI of EBAY it is suppose to give me up to 20 hp. is this just a scam? It seems so fake to help me add 20 Hp. I did put in and all i seemed to notice is my MPG drop big time? Can someone please fill me in on this ECM

ECM or PCM? Even a heavily tuned PCM won't add that much HP. The only thing that's going to add that much (25-30) is a smaller s/c pulley. Post the link where you found it.

I bet he is talking about the resistor's that they make up for the IAT sensor.Charge you 20 bucks for a $1.00 resistor that you can get from radio shack and they put in a plastic box to make it look fancy and say it add's 20HP.

it looks like a paper clip i pluged it to the Cold air Intake Sensor Should i keep this in or should i get rid of it yeah it costed me like 10 bucks on ebay

It tricks your PCM into thinking it's cold outside and therefore "optimizes timing". In reality it does little to nothing and cannot change commanded timing by more than 1 degree (and that's on a hot day where you probably can't use the extra 1 degree of timing anyway).If you feel you need it keep it in.

I know SLP claims that it can add 7-8 HP. I think that's a stretch. Would really like to see the dyno results.
