Question Why more boost?

Ok...I just put the 3 inch intake on my car and while i was doing that, the hose going into the BCS that goes to the Wastegate ripped off. I noticed there was glue already clogged in there from it happening before. I cleaned out all the glue and CAREFULLY glued it back on so that the glue didnt get inside like before. I through a breather filter onto the crankcase and since my car is AT, it had another hose going into the intake from the tranny area. Im going to throw a filter on that I guess for now.
Anyways...I noticed my car was pulling nice and hard it was much faster. I look up at the boost gauge ( it was running 9psi before ), now its going to 12psi and vac used to goto 20ish and now it goes to 25(vacuum). Everything seems to be still good..I drove it all day like this. Did little checks but everything seems normal. Intake sounds good. Should my car be running 12psi? Im not sure what the stock setting is for an A/T so if anyone as some input let me know. Thanks.

Re: Why more boost?

Thats about the boost you should be getting stock on a 1g. A little high, but well within normal. Whatever was going on before must have been reducing your boost. I Wouldnt worry about it at 12 psi, drive it on.

are you sure?

stock 2gs push 11psi on a smaller turbo making 210hp. the 1gs were rated at 195hp, so i would think 9psi would be about normal on the 14b to make stock rated hp.
