Just got a 99 Z24, and got 2 problems

1) The bright lights do not work. I checked all fuses, changed bulbs, even put in a new colunm switch. When I pull back on the switch my DRL come back on.

2) The CD player does not work. So, I am trying to get it out to replace it, but I can not get the trim off. It is such a big peice I am trying not to break it.

Answer to question 1) You Daytime Running lights, are you hi-beam but they are cut intesity. it has tow bulbs, the low beam and the hi-beam, hi-beam is also the drl! when you pull on the stalk and the inner lights come on they are your hi-beam. Also the blue light shoudl come on on the dash!

Yeah, got that figured out, but what I mean is when I pull back on the light switch the DRL come back on instead of the brights. Eigher that or my brights do not even give out half the light that my low beam do. And the blue dash light does not come on. (I forget that part earlyier).

About the only thing that I did not check is if there is a reply or something like that to that set of lights.

Would say check the relays in the fuse box next to the battery.
