Unhappy Man! this was STUPID!

OK - so I have 94 century 3.1. It was doing the classic 'buick miss' thing at speed, so I decided to do a compression check like almost everyone suggests. Well compression was reasonable, all within 5-10% of 175 psi and each other.

Well, here's what's stupid.... I didn't disconect the hot wires from my coil pack, so I was getting arcing all along the polls (never done this before). anyway, since the compresion checked out, I put in new plugs, and replaced the wires, and when I go to start it up, low-and-behold! the thing acts like it will NEVER start again. I'm sure I fried something.

Here's my question: Is it most probably the ECM or is some other elec ignition component more likely?

And, is ther any way to directly test the ECM to see if it is blown?

THX - LEE

Take the Ecm to Autozone and they will test it for free. Not sure about other autoparts stores.
