3rd Gen. hood clearance

does anybody know how much space there is under the third gen hood. I have a 350 with an edelbrock performer RPM vortec intake and I want to put a 3inch air cleaner on it. I just don't know if it will fit.

What do yall have? (those of you with carburetors)

Oh... I also have an Edelbrock 750 manual choke carb.

I have a 350 with Edelbrock Performer and holley carb, i'm not sure how thick the air cleaner is but it barely touches against the hood insulation

i know that mine if it were stock height manifold without the carb spacer would sit under the stock hood, as long as u used that 3" holley filter, cuz it dips in the middle to set the filter like around the carb.
