suspension problems? helP?

whats going on. lately ive noticed my suspension kind of... "knocking"? i guess? they just seem really loud and rough. its generally on the right side of the car. they are just oem springs and shocks. the springs have been replaced with oem ones awhile ago by previous owner. theres only 70000 miles on the car so it can't be wear and tear. but just tlel me what you tihnk. its also very cold in michigan so does the temp have an effect? do they need to be warmed up? whatever.. just help thakns

Re: suspension problems? helP?

I would find the source of the noise before throwing parts on it. Knocking noises could be many things, upper or lower ball joints, outer tie rods, worn out control arm bushing.

If it's a bad tie rod and that lets go at speed, you could be in a world of pain. When a tie rod breaks you have absolutely no steering control of which ever side broke.

Re: suspension problems? helP?

The best thing to do would be pin point the problem and the call your warranty to see if the item is covered. I'm guessing you have a Honda Care warranty since that is the most commonly sold extended warranty.

It's been a while since I handled a claim and I don't remember every thing that is covered.
