Re: Sorry K & N!! lol

i think you should only use the motorcraft ford recommended air filter on your car. im not too sure about this so any one correct me if im wrong but ive heard that something about the k&n air filters on a crown vic will mess with your mass air sensor or something. k&n makes really neat oil filters though because you can use a socket to install it and take it out but im not sure if they are that great for crown vics either.

Re: Sorry K & N!! lol

I have a K&N in my car. To everyone that says it doesn't add any horsepower, poo on you. I noticed a significant increase in speed after puting it on. And it was more than just 1hp

Use your head. There won't be a big shock if he does that, there is no power going to the negative battery cable when you disconnect it. So if you touch them, it won't spark. But it is good to see we have some smart people in this forum.

if you put in a k&n panel filter, you will see zilch in power.

if you use a fipk, you will see some gains. and for some reason the panel filter will mess up our maf's, but the fipk do not seem to.

using either will cause more dirt to get through. so be careful.

the reason they mess up the MAF is people over oil them and it coats the sensor.
