Exclamation ignition switch wire harness?

Okay, i just took out my ignition switch, spliced all wires and still needed to take off top steering column panel, had to man handle it a bit and when i did.a green and brown wire with connector came off, and have no ideal where it goes.....IF ANY BODY HAS ANY IDEAL I'D APPRECIATE IT VERY MUCH, OR A DRAWING WHATEVER...NEED MY CAR RUNNING ASAP TO GO WORK THIS EVENING

do a search for ignition switch.

There was a thread covering the procuedure earlier on.

ignition

i used that thread...but it was brief and not into detail, and it certainly dont tell you where the green and brown little wire up near the key part of ignition go....

nobody knows nothing about the brown and green wire switch that is connected to top portion on ignition switch?...and where it goes on your column..........1997 chevy blazer

The 2 wires go to the top of the cylinder and "clip" in place, I just replaced the ign harness in mine. What they actually do is tell the truck when the key is out of "lock" Not sure where they feed other than that. I thought it was for the Shifter lock but that is just my guess.

I would guess it may have something to do with the key in the ignition warning chime, among other things?
