My Jetta overheated on the way to work and I noticed that the cooling fan wasnt on, not knowing much about electrical I had a mobile electrical diagnostic service come to the house and they told me my fan was bad which caused my control module to go bad and I needed to replace them. I replaced both $320.00 dollars later and the fan still doesnt come on. I really dont want to call them back out so please help.

Re: 1999 jetta 2.0 cooling fan problem
If this is a '99.5 A4 then the water pump impeller is prone to break & the water will not circulate. Check the lower hose to see if it is alot hotter than the upper & the radator to see if hot water is circulating through it.
