AHHHH DAMNIT!!! I am so sick of these old ass redneck small town bastards in their freaking huge cars that drive soo damn slow. I just a little while ago moved to Aiken, SC and for those of you who dont know it is the capitol of the shittiest drivers in the world (except for L.A.) I swear every single person in this town is at least 80 years old and drives a huge buick that cant go over 30 mph. I live about 10 miles from the university here, it has been taking me 30 minutes to get to the damn school from where I live. This isnt exactly a huge town either. 90% of the people who live here drive UNDER the speed limit, and most of the roads are 2 lane so I cant pass the bastards. That is until now. I have reached the edge of my sanity. I now have been passing people when I shouldnt be, like with a solid line and cars not to far off in the other lane coming towards me. I have also started going the wrong way on one way streets when there are no cars coming just to get around some traffic. When I actually get on some major road that is 4 lanes I consider the speed limit optional, besides South Carolina is so broke that only about 1 in 10 cop cars actually have a radar gun and I have a radar detector anyway.

Another thing that pisses me off, if your driving under the speed limit, ex. 35 in a 45 zone, and I get on your ass...do not ever start tapping your brakes. Someone did that to me a couple days ago in their minivan so I dropped it into 2nd, sped in front of them, cut them off about 2 inches infront of their car got a little distance between me and them, then I pulled into a gas station for some cigarettes. The bastard has the balls to pull into the gas station and get out of his car and walk up to me as I am walking out of the store and tell me that next time I get behind him he "will make sure the front of my car eats his ass" So I told him if he ever does that shit in front of me again I will rip his eyes out and skull fuck him, got in the car and left (It was a jackass 30ish year old redneck) He started yelling some shit at me so I let out the loudest exhaust note my car has ever let out and sped off coming about 2 inches away from him. But seriously you should have seen this guy, it was like an even more inbred joe dirt.

That's not necessairly soo bad. If 90% of people drive below the limit, that means that you must have few cops, and even fewer speed traps. Then starting at about 9pm when all the old people have gone to bed, you can go out and have some fun.

Im starting to get the impression people are forgetting or never learned how to operate a Motor vehicle... Here in MA, People from out of state call us Massholes due to the way we drive.. Im not perfect but I feel like everytime I go out on the road Im a fucking target.. I swear people are smoking crack before they get behind the wheel. LMAO at the Skull fuck comment too..

Power to the Massholes. I for one have nearly been killed by many going 30 ft. Which is why I drive a big car.

I will speed up to 60 in a 30 to keep somebody from passing me up. when people inch out to turn onto the main road, i speed up to make sure they don't pull out in front of me. when i get behind a slow driver, i hit them with my high beams.....and this is all while driving a little corolla....

You're the kind of driver that really pisses me off !!!

If you keep driving like that, I will not shead a tear when you get in an accident. I can not stand it when people think they own the road, and put everyone around them in danger, when they get behind the wheel. By driving up my a$$, you are not going to get me to go any faster. I drive approx. 10-15 over the limit and I will intentionaly slow down to the "speed limit". If you are in that big of a hurry to get wherever you need to go, pass me !!!

Not everyone, I for one am not a masshole. But in genneral most do drive that bady. Its also a lot like carmageddon driving on 95, or 128 which is worse. During rush hour its doing 75 with 2 inches infrton and 2 inches behind you before you hit a car. If you try to leave space someone will cut in.

I went on a vacation to Boston and the drivers there are digusting. I was sitting at a red light, waiting to turn left, and some idiot behind me was honking their horn for me to go.

I have to agree... Boston and New York have some of the worst drivers I've ever seen. I've learned to just let assholes who cant be patient just pass you.. I absolutely hate tailgaters!! You know someone is following too close when you can't see their car over your tailgate.. Most times I will just keep the same speed or slow down a tad bit and give the brakes a slight tap to flash my lights at them. I worked with the Stoneham P.D. for 3 years as an Aux. officer, Ive seen some pretty stupid things during Traffic Stops. The worst thing MA has done is allow motorist to travel in the breakdown lane during rush hour, now when entering the highway you need to merge with 2 lanes of on-coming traffic instead of just one...

Thinking ahead, since it's a small town, it won't take long for word to spread about your driving. So either the police will have their way with you, or a group of locals with axe handles will.

Think about what you said -- you just moved there, and to me, obviously from an urban, fast paced place. You have to realize that SC is different than wherever it was you just moved from. The pace of life is slower, people take their time, and life is unhurried. Appreciate it; go with the flow.
