'05 Z71 Keyless Remote/Memory Seats

Help....having trouble with my keyless remotes and memory seating. Think I'm getting the run around from dealer / GM.

I have a new '05 Z71 and have had difficulty with the memory seats. Neither the drivers side memory buttons (1 or 2) seem to maintain the saved setting, nor do the keys or remote. Wanted to see if anyone else is having a similar problem with the '05. Also wondering if I'm correct in assuming that the remote controls should be able to trigger the memory setting as well as the driver memory buttons - this was my understanding from the sales person.
