I dont not know a lot about cars, but I know I just bought this car in aug.2004, it had 80,000 miles, I am not over my exspended warrenty miles. My car is making a squeeking noise coming from the passengers side, its the belt that makes a figure 8, I dont know what it is, but I know I am terrified to take it in. I hate all this car stuff!! What do you think the noise is?!

Re: squeeking sound 2002 taurus
It is most likely the belt, especially if it has not been changed yet. Should be less than or around $100 to take it in to a shop. Belts are not covered under warranty.
