e-brake light
Ok guys/gals...
Sun's going down and my wrenches are on my truck. 92 rodeo. Brake light is on, I just adjusted the ebrake and it's nice and tight. When I press in the emergency brake switch, the light dims, but does not go out. There is not a switch on the resivoir, nonetheless, the fluid is at a fine level. There is a plug on something on the fenderwall (that distributes the fluid between front/back...I've just had too many to remember it's name), and when I unplug it, the light still stays on. It's a single wire connector on said cylinder. Do I have ABS? I don't think so, but who knows. I just finally got the CEL to stay off, and I want this red annoyance fixed too. What switch am I missing, if there is one I've overlooked. I bought the vehicle with a bad ebrake, but now that it's fixed, I want the light gone...I'm out of ideas. Come on all with first gen Rodeo blood! Tks again all... Steve |

Re: e-brake light
the only thing that can cause the red brake light to come on is the switch or wiring for the e-brake switch
if you have abs you have an abs light if there is no switch at the resivoir there is no light to turn on |

Re: e-brake light
