bought a 89 iroc, 305 tbi. wont run
i gave 900 big ones for it, there was no extra charge for the green mold that was on it. it will start but its shaky, no knocking. so i removed the tbi, its cruddy looking down in the fuel bowls. is that round sensor on the rear pass side of the tbi the IAC valve? if so does it just screw out?

yeah thats the iac.. I forget what size wrench you need.. its big.. 1 1/8th inch maybe?

yeah i have it in front of me right now. ive been a half hour trying to clean this thing out, it is nasty.

yeah I just got the tb on my truck back together.. damn thing still isnt runnin right.. it was pretty nasty in there

i think this baby has sat for years. motor may have to be pulled. ill know after i get this thing cleaned. im going to check all my other things out. plugs dist. cap and rotor button, and throw a new fuel filter on and see if that perks it up. if not i will throw the 305 that came out of my rs in it.
