v-8 powered s-10's & s-15's

i bought a very interesting book on 89 gmc light duty trucks. in this book it has these engines list for them:2.5 L4, 2.8l v6, 4.3l v6, 4.8l L6, 5.0l v8, 5.7l v8, 7.4l v8, 6.2l v8 diesel. the 2.5 to the 5.7 came in the s series and the others in the full size 1/2 ton.

now why can't the 7.4 go into the s series? has anyone heard of this being done yet?

i have access to a 7.4 but like to see if it has been done yet. mind you it would be a show truck only.

( picked up a 88 s-15 ext cabwith little body rust with blown motor for 100 bucks and starting to brain storm ideas )

the 7.4 is probably too big for the engine compartment. the weight of the engine could also be an issue. I think it'd be cool to have that type of power pushing my s-10. On a show truck i think it would stand out very nicely.

yeah something that large would weigh the truck down, meaning the fulcrum points wouldnt come out to verry good specs, and the size of that thing, fitting a bbc into the compartment isnt going to happen without a LOT of work being done
