ahhhh castrol! nice setup, but i prefer a moderate sized turbo for quick spool and a FLAT torque curve. i am more of an autoX/mountain driver than a drag car. it is nice to see that the SRT4 can do both well

i'm buying a STR 4 in july... and im gonna start planning out my modifications. So how much horse can they take on stock internals?

your looking at about 450 for longevity. you can run 500 if properly tuned for a while, but expect to have to replace the pistons after 15-20 thousand miles if your running power like that. everyone who is running larger than 500hp just replaced their pistons. they are using stock everything else - rods, crank, block, head, etc... on the stock turbo your looking at 325-350hp max. there are probably 100+ owners running 400+hp 400+ft/lbs of torque as daily drivers on nearly stock cars - and totally stock motors.

Omg man... thats so fast.... i had a 98 R/T.. but the rod blew.. and i joined the navy... so i plan on getting an srt4 when i leave september 6th... cant wait..
