VATS Alarm
MY 98 3800 5 speed vats goes off for no reason I use my fob to lock the doors and set the alarm then the alarm will go off, depending on the day sometimes a few hours later
other thimes like 3 or 4 seconds. Ne Help, ne wires to cut out the alarm all together? |

i'd look for a fuse to pull before I go cutting wires.

mines was doing that too i would arm it then it would start honking, drove me nuts, anyway i never found out why it did that i just replaced it with a viper 2 way system.

That's not the VATS, it is the entry alarm you are having problems with. Both are prone to fail.

Well if you are bent on fixing it, start looking for a short or a fuse like Geno said. Otherwise it might just be easier to put in an aftermarket alarm like philly.
