Timing ?

I recently bought a h22a1 USDM swap for my Prelude and it cam with ALOT of goodies. The distributor is advaced all the way and the AEM cam gears appear to be advace 5 degrees each. When I give it a lil gas at idle it bogs. When i give it a lil more gas up around 4thousand it chokes as if it wantes to shut off. Could this be from the timing be to far advaced? I never advanced my h23 and so I would have never done it to this, but it was already set-up as I described above. Could this issues be fixed by me taking it to Honda and having them reset the timing or could there be something else wrong and if so what? Any help would be apprecuative. ****Note I have not actually drove the car yet b/c I need to put on the new passenger side spindal I have plus the axel assemble etc. Its just been to cold. (if that really helps/matters to know)
