96 hatch taillight modification

Hey, I just bought some all clear taillights for my 96 civic hatch. I was checking ebay and came across these: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...spagename=WDVW

if that link doesn't work just type in civic type r tails for search.

these caught my eye and have motivated me. I want mine to be clear on top and red on the bottom. I've read through a couple of threads and found a shitty tutorial on the internet.
I'm thinking of oven baking and painting the inside for a cleaner look.
Just curious if you like the idea and what I should use to seal the lights back up, I don't want them to get all cloudy. Let me know

candy red sprat paint, tape off the part you want to remain clear, spray many light coats untill you get the color you want, if done correctly should look factory.

Do you think it would be wise to paint inside the housing? I want to keep that shiny look to it, rather than a dull red and shiny clear? What kind of sealant should I use to re-seal then?

oh you thought i was talking about painting the inside of the light?? no, the outside is where you would do this, and the candy paint has a very shiny finish to it, like i said it will look like factory red taillights if done correctly.

looks good, and i wouldnt worry about it being illegal, just dont reverse in front of cops and they will never know that your reverse light is in the red part.
