92 Jetta stalling when splashed underneath
Weird problem fellas, i have 92 Jetta, manual transmission, whenever it gets splashed underneath with water, i.e i go over a big puddle and it splashes, the car will stall. It shakes and idles lower and lower until it stalls. Then it starts fine, put it in first take off then it dies no pressure when I press gas.
I have changed the distributor cap, the rotor and the spark plug wires. It is none of those things. Could there be a broken wire or something underneath or something that when an abondunce of water hits it it causes the car to stall? After i wait about 5 minutes i guess for the wet part to dry up i can take off normally without stalling and im good to go until i hit another big puddle. any ideas? please helpppp. |
