92 Regal blower motor only works on the highest setting
I think it's quite possible the resistor is burned out is this right? and if so where on a 1992 Buick Regal do I find this resistor.

Im not sure on a 92,but Id start looking around the HVAC/heater box. Here are some pics, that may help.It sounds like the blower motor resistor.

On almost every make and model of car, if the blower only works on one setting, it's the resistor. Replace the resistor and your problem will go away.

The blower motor on a 92 regal is located behind the dash on the passenger side and the resistor is located right next to it.
If you look underneath the dash on the passenger side you will see a black plastic pannel with a light attached to it. Remove the screws that hold the pannel to the dash and remove the screw that attaches the light socket to the pannel, than just pull the pannel down and out. The resistor is the small object with the four wire plug attached to it. If I remember correctly it is about an inch to the left of the fan motor. |
