HP gain?

I was wondering how much HP i could pick up buy removing the ac unit and pump from the motor? 1991 crx dx

It's usually done for weight savings, I don't know that you'll gain major hp, major just 1-2

I dont think you will gain HP, I would say you will loose some weight, thats about it.

You don't gain any hp just free it up. It saves weight and parasitic power draw.

my bro has a 5th gen auto civic and when he was driving to az from indiana and climbing he would turn off the a/c he told me it gave it a bit more power..

It didn't give it more power it just didn't use power and let it go to the wheels.

His brother acutally does know what hes talking about. It will definetly help your car pull harder. When you A/C is on its taking power to spin the pulley, in turn takes power away from whats going to the ground.
