AAA competition- wish me luck

I'm so excited that i decided that it was absolutely necessary to tell you folks that im gonna go to the ford AAA competition in Bellingham (yes i know its a ford competition but bear with me) for my advanced automotive class. the problem is that i have to pass the written test to get to the practical hands on stage, and i suck at written tests. So i figured id see who thinks i can do it... i know that when it comes to the practical i will rule the competition, but if i can win at the state level than i will be eligible for a ton of scholarships. so Root for me!!! lol

Re: AAA competition- wish me luck

When they ask the questions ( not sure what they'd be for sure) think of where the part is, what does it do, what can cause it to malfuntion and you should be good. I never went to school for automotive or anything so i have no idea on how they teach. Everything i know has been from hands on. Ah man.. within the next 3 yrs, i am ripping apart my car, fully building my 2200 with forged rods and pistions, and either going to be a forced induction car, or one that gets a buzz off large shots of giggle juice. I basically got a brand new car and the cav will be in the operating room.. Woot Woot!

Giggle juice... hehe... i hope to run a 75 shot into it when all said and done. At stock 55 is max on dry. I keep hemmin and hawin over what i want to do when its internals are all upgraded. Might even thro a turbo on it and run both... dunno. I have many routes and the resources to do it with. You will all have to wait in see...

Re: AAA competition- wish me luck

well i am not 100% sure what it will be. Right now with a few upgrades i have just touched the high end of 16's. 16.9 to be exact. All these people who label mods as adding 5HP, 10Hp, 20Hp.. nothing is an exact Number because all cars have differnet things done to them and act in different ways to mods. I have 4 close friends that we are all going to tear apart our cars over the next couple years. The oldest out of all of us is ryan who Just built a performance shop and makes custom fabricated intakes, exhaust, engine mounts, etc. He owns a 1996 pontiac grand prix with the 3400 motor that is fully built. JE pistions and eagle rods. 10:1 compresson and right now is at 283 HP engine. He is running a 125 wet shot on a NOS fogger system. Right now he is working on a RW drive conversion and by the end of the summer will hopefully have a 3 staged fogger system with a stand alone fuel management system. I'll have to throw up some pics for you guys to understand what i am talking about. From outside the car looks totalled stock. Chris has a 00 sunfire with the same engine as me. Currently running a 40 shot dry.. Adam has an 04 tibby and is currently at the shop along with the other 2 cars tucked away for winter, he is going to run a 55 wet this summer. Me i am at the tail end because my cav is still the daily driver untill this fall when it will be tucked away for winter and torn apart. Muhahahaha... I want to be one of the few with a fully build 2200 pushing over 200Hp. THis is prolly going to break my bank, but it something i want and know i can achieve. Just wait guys!...Still thinkin on what compression i should do... 8:1 or 8.5:1.. hrrmmm bore the block .20... oh yes... i will be having some fun now.

8:1 then a t28BB at 25psi boost. 200hp will be long overshot!
