Super off of GTP to Firebird
Hey, I have a 96 firebird 3.8 L. I was wondering if anyone could tell me how to put the super charger from a gtp to my car... also what kind of gains will i see? How much $? Is this a bad idea for a daily driver? and anyother things i should know before starting..... Thanks

Re: Super off of GTP to Firebird
A naturally aspirated 3.8 won't take added the stress of a supercharger (at least not very well). The GTP's L67 engine is internally beefier to take the additional HP & torque. And then there's the transmission. Better off going with an aftermarket turbo or centrifugal blower.

Re: Super off of GTP to Firebird
For one thing the Supercharger is set-up for a frontwheel drive car and the throttle body would hit the firewall
You would be better of buying a CSC kit from Paxton or other company's offering CSC kit'sQuote:
Zommer at ZZP, has had great success using the short block from a L36.Also other clubgp member's using the L36 short block for there GTP's,when they rebuild them. Here is the other thread that I was talking about this same rebuild L69 on top of the L36 short block. http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbul...9&page=1&pp=15
