Re: the all important question
ALRIGHT...something i know somethign about!!!!!!!...HELL yes..
I have the 4.3L v6 (power specs in my sig, they are close to correct). It would be alot better if i had posi rear end, but since i have a peg leg...... It does a very nice burnout, it will just light up that tire and just have the white smoke rolling if if use the brakes correctly (i have an auto) The town i go to school in has brick roads, soo, the traction is kinda lacking there, I can powerbrake doing 20mph to screw around no problem and leave nice marks. I can also get a second gear scratch out of it (no shift kit, factory tranny, 700R4) but yea, my back tires are both to almost bald, the tread bars are showing in them, while the fronts are pretty good, my bad. and going around a corner, it will spin them for way to long of a distance depending on the type of pavement im on. |

Re: the all important question
balls_to_the_wall,
Your power figures in your sig are way too high. Try maybe 120-130 hp to the wheels at most. Your engine puts out 150-155hp stock.

my s-15 will chirp really good starting off the line under normal driving
lay into it hard, lay a track for about 25 - 30 feet using brakes........nope like to have them to stop with stock 4.3 with 194,000 + miles, 700r4 trans stock with same miles, stock rearend with same miles had to prove US built is better than a toyota rice burner |

Re: the all important question
I get a kick of of people bragging about their one tire peg leg burnouts.
A chevette can do a one tire burnout for 30 feet too.

Re: the all important question
Course once you think of it that way, most vehicles will walk circles around our trucks (expecially mine). I don't mean to brag about my peg leg, but sometimes, i can powerbrake it and get both tires to spin?....hmm.....somedays it seems like I have posi, others it dosent'....
But my old man's 69 SS Chevelle will walk circles aorund my pickup too.... The one nice thing about our trucks, for screwing around, is that the back end is so light, it will break the tires loose without trying to hard... |
