I have a 93 ford e150 with 180000 miles it has been sitting for 2 days. I went out to start it and it turns over but thats it. I would push in the accelerator slightly and it seems like it wants to start but does not. I can smell fuel after getting out of the vehicle. I can hear the fuel pump making noise I had a new one put in about 4 months ago and it had been working fine (it better for $450.00). I had a tune up 2 months ago and my mileage went from 10mpg to 13mpg so i was a happy camper until a couple days ago. The temp here has been in the 40 so freezing isn't a problem i dont believe. Are there any things that traditionally happen to keep these from starting. I am hopping I dont have to spend 400 dollars again just to get it started.

Re: newbie with a ford van problem and no clue
The ignition modules are a common failure, and easy to replace.
