Question Sorry I wasn't clear

I was just looking for any and evry idea that could be put forth. I was wondering how feasible was the 4afe hea with 4age block. But then its sttill a full sap technically and I am not sure its price good. I have a friend with a 4age from an mr2 It needs rebuilt though.

Price wise would doing that be most economical for a just finished highschooler without good income.

I heard the 3sgte ends up a royal pain with hoses or something can you please help me with this any more clarification please ask.thanks again Drew

P.S. I currently have saved $1400 and have ways to get more but am looking for a good idea of actual price range. I am hoping to avoid going stock with just a new eng and tranny

Re: 92 celica st engine

for a REALLY checp and good swap wehre you could end up with aorund 130 hp and a nice strong block would be to buy a 4age high comp motor (should be able to find oene for about $300-$500) and just swap the bottem ends out....you could turbo really easy beuase 4age high comps have very strong internals...just a suggestion

Re: 92 celica st engine

no one has done it but ive done an AINSANE amount of reasearch on it, and plan on doing it cuz my motors starting to get old, 150,000 on a never rebiuld bottem end that ive trashed around...

trust me when i say itll work all u need is a new timing blet, head studs and head gasket, thats pretty much it, just pull the old motor, take tha head and all the shit off and put it on the 4age block and use a new head gasket and new timing belt (you can swap valves and valve srping if u want the g head has sronger valve springs and bigger vavles, but ud need to port out ur head if u do this)
then just re connect everyting and ur good to go, the only problem u will have is for a little bit ull run lean for a good week or 2 so u rally cant get on it till ur ecu adjusts to the new settings (higher comp) not only will the block be a 10.3:1 but ur deck height for the head is lower and the chameber is smaller so you will get an evenhigher comp,

in all expect about 140-150HP and about 150 TQ
