coilover help

I just read the tutorial about how to make a coilover and I have a question. I understood it, but my problem is that if you look at the pics, the coilover's top mount for the spring is on the frame. I am working on the revell civic coupe and the coilover is one peice with a top and bottom mount. How DO I get around this problem? If I cut it and glue it, I'm affraid that it may not hold up good.

Re: coilovers

If you do it correctly and use superglue, it should be fine.
Unless you plan on playing with your models there really shouldn't be a great deal of stress on the part.

Hi,

Don't know if this will be of any help but if you take a look at page 2 of this thread there are some brief instructions of some working suspension I put on a Subaru a couple of years ago.
