vent no blow

1998 Aurora (117k wonderful miles, a few quirks) my heat/air mode dial to switch from "floor", to "defrost" to "vent" etc, will not switch to the vent or the vent/floor option. Thoughts?

check your fuses(all fuses) before replacing the switch. You can go to a GM recycle yard and get a used switch, then (if) thats the problem ,you can decide to go new or used. After all said & done, if your time and money is a concern figure what route is best. What I mean is, a shop can troubleshoot the problem then give you the option of a new or used part.
